Farzaneh Khojandi Chapbook
Farzaneh Khojandi is considered to be one of the most outstanding poets writing in Persian (Farsi, Tajik) today. She has a huge following in Iran and Afghanistan as well as in Tajikistan, where she is simply regarded as the country's foremost living poet. She has published many volumes of poetry including Sign of Love, Oracle from My Ancestors, Droplets from Oxus and (in Russian) Golden Leaves.
Jo Shapcott has published several award-winning collections of poetry, many of which were collected in Her Book: Poems 1988-1998 (Faber, 2006). In 2001 she published Tender Taxes: Versions of Rilke's French Poems.
Narguess Farzad is Senior Fellow in Persian at SOAS where she teaches classical and contemporary Persian poetry. Her publications include works on the 'poetry of sacred defence' and teaching Persian. She specialises in translation.
