Part of the Persian Poets' Tour 2012

The culmination of our fabulous Persian Poets' Tour was this Gala Reading at London's Rich Mix that featured the poetry of all five Persian Poets read by their five British poet-translators. A unique and memorable evening much appreciated by an attentive audience.

Leading British poet, Jo Shapcott (winner of the Queen's Gold Medal for Poetry 2011) read her brilliant translations of the Tajik poet, Farzaneh Khojandi alongside Nick Laird, reading with Afghan poet, Reza Mohammadi; Maura Dooley reading with Iranian poet, Azita Ghahreman; Mimi Khalvati reading with Shakila Azizzada from Afghanistan; and PTC Director, Sarah Maguire read her translations of the Afghan poet, Partaw Naderi.
