Part of the Persian Poets' Tour 2012

Reza Mohammadi, Shakila Azizzada, and Azita Ghahreman took part in a unique evening of Persian poetry and Persian delights at Persepolis, the wonderful Persian store and delicatessen in Peckham, South London. As the owner, Sally Butcher, says, 'Persepolis is really just a little corner shop, but we think more like a mid-terrace multiple and have all the attitude of an out-of-town-hypermarket'.

The wonderfully intimate setting of Persepolis was a wonderful space to listen to Persian poetry. After the reading, we had a fascinating discussion on translation and poetry which was much enjoyed by everyone. We're really grateful to Sally for inviting us and providing cups of tea and delicious cakes.

The poets' translations were read in English by PTC Director, Sarah Maguire.

Please join us for poetry, tea and fabulous cakes!

We deeply regret that, for personal reasons, Partaw Naderi is unable to take part in our Persian Poets' Tour. We wish him well and we all miss him very much indeed.
