Wednesday 27th June 2012 20:00

Part of the Poetry Parnassus London 2012

Modern Poetry in Translation is the official poetry magazine partner of Southbank Centre’s ‘Poetry Parnassus’ Festival. MPT's  ‘Parnassus’ issue features 17 of the Parnassus poets, drawn from the 204 participating countries. The magazine includes seven poems by Al-Saddiq Al-Raddi (translated by Sarah Maguire and Atef Alshaer) and one poem by Mbarka Mint al-Barra' that we translated in a workshop with Joel Mitchell.

This celebratory launch of MPT presents readings from Parnassus poets including Maya Sarishvili, Yuyutsu Sharma, Gerdur Kristny, Abdullahi Botan, Bewketu Seyoum and Al-Saddiq Al-Raddi.

The evening will be hosted by MPT's editors, David and Helen Constantine.
