Farzaneh Khojandi, Jo Shapcott and Nukhbah Langah at the Birmingham Book Festival
Birmingham Conservatoire, Birmingham
Tuesday 14th October 2008 19:00
Part of the World Poets' Tour 2008
Farzaneh Khojandi and her translator, Jo Shapcott, read together for the first time in Birmingham, so this was a very special evening.
Guardian Online made a podcast of Farzaneh and Jo discussing their poems and translations.
Unfortunately, Noshi Gillani was unable to travel to the UK to take part in the tour. However, her translator, Nukhbah Langah, read Noshi's poems in Urdu, while Jo Shapcott read Lavinia Greenlaw's translations.
