In the run up to the tour we worked closely with the Sudanese community in Manchester as we knew they'd be eager to hear Al-Saddiq Al-Raddi read his poems and they'd also be interested in Sabry Hafez's talk on Wordsworth's translations into Arabic by the great Sudanese poet, Mohammed Abd Al-Hayy and the impact this had on contemporary Sudanese poetry.
