New Podcast of Poems by Al-Saddiq Al-Raddi
During his visit to the UK to take part in the PTC's tour of Two African Poets 2010, Al-Saddiq Al-Raddi has worked closely with his translators Atef Alshaer and PTC Director, Sarah Maguire, to complete fifteen new translations. The poems are now up on our website in the original Arabic, as the literal translations produced by Atef Alshaer, and in their final form by Sarah Maguire.
Saddiq and Sarah recorded the poems in Arabic and English and we've now produced a podcast of all fifteen poems, the second podcast of Saddiq's poems for the PTC.
Saddiq's first podcast is also available. This includes all the poems and translations in the chapbook we published to coincide with our World Poets' Tour 2008.
