We're very pleased to announce that the Poetry Translation Centre has been successful in its application to Arts Council England for funding for 2012-15, including an increase to support our touring programme. We are now one of ACE's National Portfolio Organisations.

695 arts organisations to have been given this coveted new status which has been created by ACE in order to 'focus on excellent organisations... with decisions shaped by a 10-year vision for the arts'.

We are enormously grateful to ACE for the support they've given us since 2004; without their generosity, the PTC simply wouldn't exist. We're also grateful to the poets and translators we work with (in the UK and across the rest of the world) and to our trustees.

We look forward to another four years bringing you new translations of work by some of the world's greatest living poets from Africa, Asia and Latin America.
