The PTC has now been granted charitable status (Registered Charity no.1123056). Becoming a charity is a long and complex business and is a significant development for us. Being given charitable status is an important public recognition of the valuable nature of our work, and it also allows us to raise more money.

Most large private foundations will only give money to organisations that are charities, so we're now in a position to apply to these foundations for funding to support our work.

In addition, when someone who pays tax in the UK gives us money, we can add the amount of tax they would have paid to the government to their gift, thus automatically increasing the money we receive. Please do get in touch if you'd like to support our work.
