Collaboration with English PEN: New Poetry in Arabic from Gaza
We're delighted that English PEN invited us to translate two poets from Gaza. For further details of this project, please see the link to their excellent World Atlas blog below.
In our workshop on 1st April we translated the poems 'Seeds in Flight', by Khaled Abdallah; on 22nd April we translated 'Movements' by Fatena Al-Gharra.
A small group of translators comprising Anna Murison, Sara Vaghefian, Samra Said and Worod Musawi, worked extremely hard with Sarah Maguire to translate 'Woman of Mint', 'The Lost Button' and 'I Reveal Myself' by Fatena Al-Gharra.
