Welcome to Our Beautiful New Website!

At the end of our remarkably successful World Poets' Tour 2008, we realised that our existing (wonderful, much admired) website wasn't best designed to easily display the wealth of media items we'd amassed during the tour.

In January, we began to hold lengthy discussions with our web designers, Emily Heath and North Kuras of Whitespace Design and we all quickly realised that we'd need to completely restructure and redevelop the site - a process that has taken months to finish.

At first glance, the new site may look rather similar to the old one - which pleases us a great deal as we deliberately chose to retain many of the familiar and effective aspects of the original site. However, if you nose around you'll discover that media items are instantly associated with the poets and translators featured in them. For example, the three featured poems on the home page all have icons leading you to videos, recordings and publications associated with the poems.

In addition, if you take a look at an individual poet or translator's profile page, you'll see all the media items, events and articles connected to each poet, together with a list of all the poems of their's we've translated.

If you go to the poems page, you'll see a list of all the poems we've translated with their original and translated titles, together with icons indicating when they're associated with media items.

We've created an entirely new articles section that will allow you to read the fascinating essays on the translation process we've commissioned from our translators, together with interviews, blogs and reviews of our work.

We've also included a new LIVE! section to announce and archive all our events; again, on the individual events pages you can find links to any photos, videos or recordings of events, plus any articles about them.

Our website is a truly unique resource. We can't think of anything else online that features so many translations from such a variety of languages together with videos, recordings and photographs. We are immensely proud of how well the new site allows us to display our work, and we're extremely lucky to have Emily and North as our website designers.

Please contact us if you have any comments on the site, or on our work in general. We'd love to hear from you.
