Lanterns

by Al-Saddiq Al-Raddi

In the water
In my silence, by your side
In a fire which alone brings us together
I float
And you alone (only you) may call me!

... ... ...
The bird enters the ritual of the green
Like a string in a bow
Glitter roams on the eye like a secret
A kiss leans on the bow
The rain continues

In the streets my friend are no longer there
In the houses which are distant from each other
Lanterns are no longer there
In the heart, the shake of the scattered pulse returns (is there)
But you through the kerchiefs on the departed
And the rest on the light of day!
