Only

by Al-Saddiq Al-Raddi

A lazy noon
Leads me from your spirits/ shadows to a cup of tea
To the embrace of bewilderment / bafflement
According to a mood busy with inquisitiveness / curiosity
I feel the bottom of the smell / aroma
That remains / lingers
Of your presence
Intuitively guess a colour that lights you from the shade
And the remains / dregs of stories about you
Oh you sinner
Like a prophet emerging from the talk / gossip
You slip from the fruits of the sleepy smell / trace/ fragrance
And you enframe / encircle thoughts with multiple repartees / jousting (flashes of intuitive inspiring thoughts)
