Here

by Gagan Gill

Here
she’ll hide
in her skeleton
escaping her young beauty

Here
she’ll sink down
in her grief
hiding from her soul

Here perplexity
will claw
body and dreams

She’ll seek out
a last resort
in the poetry of others

This is the stone
they’ll taste

she - the fish
she - the non-fish

Both
will sink
here
in this very place.
