الملوكُ الذين مَضُوا ..
تركوا أثراً اسمه نسيانَهم
مثل ( أليس ) أو ( كوش ) ..إلخ .
تركوا: تيجانَ ممعنةً في غَرَابةٍ
بقايا هياكلَ عظميةٍ
رؤسَ أسماكَ - أسماءَ يَصْعُبُ نُطْقَها
مراودَ كُحلٍ - وصايا - مدائحَ منقوشةً على حجرْ
بيدَ أنِّي تركتُكِ
أنتِ المُضُاءَةُ بي
أينما حملتَكِ عروشُكِ
دماً طازجاً في شرايينَ تَفْنَى
و يصعبُ نسيانَكِ !

عند روما القديمةْ - أبوابَ روما القديمةْ
تصحبُني مُمْعِنَاً في صَرَامَةِ الدقِّة المتناهيةْ
لتصوركَ الخيطَ في ثقبه الأَرْهَفَ
لتصوركَ الخطَّ والمنحنى
تصحبُني في صداقةِ الحجرْ
يدٌ ليدٍ
أصابعُ لأصابعَ
ثم ..
في مدخلِ الحانةِ
نقرعُ كأساً بكأسٍ
تضعُ النقطةَ التاليةْ
في صفحةِ وجهٍ يتفرَّسُ تاريخَه

أينا المفتاحُ - عند بابكَ أو عند بابي ؟!

يَسْعَدُ الصمتُ
يَسْعَدُ الحال
يَسْعَدُ نُطْقُ الصورْ
كُلَّمَا تُرِكَ المقعدُ خالياً
كُلَّمَا تَوارَى صاحبُ المعطفِ
كُلَّمَا سُمعتْ شَهْقَةُ العَتْمَةِ الخفيفةِ
العناقُ - ميثولوجيا الحُضُورْ!

We of course should see the original to judge the premise of this statement! A translation always loses something to the detriment of the original and always gains something for the benefit of the reader who is not a native speaker.

it has developed into a phenomenon, the remark that only the English translation makes sense, saying that with the reference that i'm a native speaker of Arabic and a compatriot to the poet.
