Behind the Curtain

by Coral Bracho

Behind the curtain there is a world of calm,
behind that thick green
is sanctuary,
profound hush.
An unsullied realm, its silence.
From that flowing vision
of another world,
from that other reality's diaspora of sounds; from that other time,
enmeshed, they are calling me.

The literal translation of this poem was made by Tom Boll

The final translated version of the poem is by Katherine Pierpoint

Notes

From La voluntad del ámbar (1998).

First I thought of something behind the mask or cover wear by the Islamic ladies. Later, I have gone through the lucid clear words in a perfect frame. Its depinga.
