Poems

The Cartographer

You are absent in between the lines
You – a silent recognition
Like the absent rain in wandering clouds
You are absent in every empty space of life
In the gap of time
In these terror-stricken lanes
I don’t look at any window
Don’t stop at any door
Don’t see the watch
Don’t hear anyone’s call,
Fear is my only companion
In the geography of changing borders
