Rifat Abbas

Rifat Abbas is a contemporary and popular poet, perhaps because he comes up with strange ideas and forms. Kafi was first introduced by Siraiki Sufi poet Khwaja Ghulam Farid and is a beautiful poetic form. It embodies romance along with spirituality.

In 2005 Abbas was given the Khawaja Ghulam Farid Award for Siraiki poetry for his collection Ishq Allah Saeen Jagiya.
