Poets Weedhsame and Daljit Nagra will be together in London, for the first time, reading the Poetry Translation Centre’s latest publication, ‘Catastrophe’. The evening will be opened by Dr. Martin Orwin, who will be introducing the poem to the audience. This will be followed by an English & Somali reading of ‘Catastrophe’.
Xasan Daahir Weedhsame is visiting the UK this October, so the poet himself will be attending this workshop to translate a new poem with his translator Martin Orwin and the award winning UK poet Clare Pollard.
