Maxamed Ibraahin Warsame 'Hadraawi' is known as the Somali Shakespeare. A world-class poet revered by his people, the PTC is delighted and honoured to present this series of events to mark the publication of his selected poems, at which Hadraawi will read alongside his translator, W N Herbert.

Despite visa problems and the worst storm to hit the UK for decades, Hadraawi read his magnificent poems to a packed audience in Cardiff’s Butetown, the historic heart of the long-established Somali community.
