Poems

Once Upon a Time There Was

Once upon a time there was,
A girl who beautify the hair
Tightly braiding at the tip
And wears fine poplin and
All-white piece of cloth.

The accepted way of the behaviour of the previous ones,
Was replaced by profoundly immoral and wicked longhorns
Putting on their heads a dome-shaped hairstyle
Roaming around the market.

Hey, you obliterated the culture!
Turned away from the obligations of the law
Destroyed the religious beliefs,
O you women, save what remains!

==============================

Hundred years ago and
Things that existed in earlier times
Been intentionally disregarded
Don’t take back off the beaten track
That has been exhausted.

We are now running a competition
A race to the moon and sun
Pioneering the community
In making great efforts to achieve it.

First and foremost get education
Through reading books and writing,
Hey you, country bumpkin, don’t retrograde,
These people that have become fully awaken!

================================

Once upon a time there was,
A girl who a month and two
Never give you an audible expression
The men search and look thoroughly
With vain attempt to find her for days.

The accepted way of the behaviour of the previous ones,
Was replaced by those who go out in the afternoon
Carrying heavy handbags
Bandits roaming outdoors.

Hey, you obliterated the culture!
Turned away from the obligations of the law
Destroyed the religious beliefs,
O you women, save what remains!

==================================

The God that has scattered
The sea and river water in various directions
Designated to a specified place,
The earth that has a considerable size
And the mountains that He set up;

And His human beings
He created each in a different way,
You lost your sense of direction
You have been left virtually friendless.

First and foremost get education
Through reading books and writing,
Hey you, country bumpkin, don’t retrograde,
These people that have become fully awaken!

Once upon a time there was,
Pricing estimation of she-camels (Baarax)
And horse of excellent quality (Baxdow)
Payed to the bride’s family
Along with a rifle.

The accepted way of the behaviour of the previous ones,
Was replaced by self-centered and lack of wellbeing
Failed to obey family and relatives
Refused their advice and guidance.

Hey, you obliterated the culture!
Turned away from the obligations of the law
Destroyed the religious beliefs,
O you women, save what remains!

=================================

Girls that used to be exchanged with
She-camel (Baarax) and horse
And short legged goats and sheep,
In accordance to the religion we have learned
The Holy Book of Islam doesn’t permit.

The plunderers used to feed on
And bargain a price for the girls
The centre where activity is directed
Today it’s no more relevant.

First and foremost get education
Through reading books and writing,
Hey you, country bumpkin, don’t retrograde,
These people that have become fully awaken!
