Alireza Nouri was born 1975,in Hamedan, Iran. He is a member of the Iranian Writers’ Association and holds a PhD in Persian Language and Literature. Alireza Nouri began writing poetry in the mid-1990s, and has so far published seven poetry collections Clowns Cry (2011, Ahang-e Digar Publishing), Spinning (2014, Paris Publishing), City (2015, Nasira Publishing), Decline (2017, Nasira Publishing), Corbel (2019, Sibe Sorkh Publishing), Nahr (2023, Nourahan Publishing) and Personal Request (Prison Poems) (2025, Nourahan Publishing) and two books of literary criticism and research: Light from the Mouth: Quasi-Poems from Mystical Prose Texts (with Zahra Heydari, 2015, Nasira Publishing) and The Poetics of the Night: An Open Reading of Contemporary Poetry (2015, Nasira Publishing)
