Part of: PTC Summer Tour 2017 Norwich: Meet the translator - Canan Marasligil
British Centre for Literary Translation
Canan Marasligil is the bridge translator for the PTC’s new chapbooks by Karin Karakaşlı and Bejan Matur. The lynchpin of the whole project she worked with the two Turkish poets and the poet translators Jen Hadfield and Sarah Howe to bring a significant body of work into English. She is also the creator of the 'City in Translation' project. At this informal, ask-me-anything style event she will share insights from her eclectic career in literary translation, on and off the page.
This event is FREE and open to all. Student and emerging translators are particularly welcome.
Presented in partnership with the British Centre For Literary Translation.
