It was standing room only for our lunchtime reading at the Manchester Poetry Festival featuring the poems of three of our international poets – Corsino Fortes, Gaarriye and Noshi Gillani – read by their three brilliant translators, British poets Sean O’Brien, W N Herbert and Lavinia Greenlaw.
Unfortunately, Noshi Gillani was unable to take part in the tour and so her poems were read in Urdu by her translator, Nukbah Langah.
Charles Beckett wrote a blog about this event.
