Poems

Dad

dad
sentence me to death
so you can live inside my tenantless body
and will not need a tomb

the lonely obsessives
won’t come to marry me away
and there will be no other woman
hating me

dad
you can make me into bed
be the ruler of me
mum doesn’t know me
like i don’t know either of you
when i’m held down
under a body

dad
i woke up dreaming
that i went to sleep
that i died at twenty-one
